Love Finds It’s Way

Across Borders and Miles, Love Still Finds Its Way 🤍

A Christmas Evening to Remember

There is something about Christmas that opens the heart a little wider. Maybe it’s the glow of the lights, the familiar carols, or the reminder that God Himself crossed the greatest distance of all to come near. This Christmas season, our home was filled with that kind of nearness.

Welcoming our dear friends from Poland into our home for dinner was a gift in itself. Around the table, we shared good food, treasured memories, and plenty of laughter—proof that friendship doesn’t depend on geography or language. In the warmth of the season, we were reminded that in Christ, we are family.

One especially meaningful moment came when we shared two very personal gifts. The first were an angels handmade by my grandmother—precious treasures to us carrying her love, her prayers, and a legacy of faith passed down through generations. At Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, sharing something made by her loving hands felt especially fitting for these 2 precious ladies.

The second was a plaque of The Lord’s Prayer, which on one side is English and I created on the other side The Lord’s Prayer in Polish. Seeing it written in their heart language was deeply moving. And Julian’s response made the moment unforgettable—he loved it so much that he didn’t want to put it back in the bag or let anyone else take it. Watching him hold it close to his heart was a beautiful reminder of how powerful God’s Word is when it meets us right where we are.

As we celebrated, we were reminded of the truth at the heart of Christmas:

„Dziś bowiem w mieście Dawida narodził się wam Zbawiciel, którym jest Chrystus Pan.”
(Łukasza 2:11)

Jesus came for all of us—across nations, languages, and generations. And that truth was alive in our living room that night.

Now these gifts will travel across borders, carrying with them more than wood, paint, porcelain and fabric. They carry the joy of a Christmas evening filled with gratitude, fellowship, and the love of Jesus. They hold laughter around the table, prayers spoken together, and a shared faith that unites us far more deeply than distance ever could.

As we celebrate Christmas, we are profoundly thankful for friendships rooted in Christ. Thankful that love truly finds its way across miles. And thankful for Emmanuel—God with us—who continues to draw hearts together.

Merry Christmas, dear friends. May His peace and joy fill your home, just as your presence filled ours.
