Our fur babies love Christmas.
They just don’t want us to think it’s too easy.
The second the sweaters come out, you can see it on their faces. That look that says:
“Don’t touch me. I’m going to remember this. You just wait. I’m going to bite you later.”
Closely followed by:
“I better be getting extra treats for this.”
But then… something magical happens.
Once the sweaters are on, their entire demeanor completely changes. They are calmer. They will sit side by side without attacking each other. They sit a little longer . They stop plotting immediate revenge. They catch a glimpse of themselves and suddenly it’s more like:
“…wow. I do look good.”
And the hats? Oh, the hats were a bold move on our part. We fully expected chaos. Instead, we got pure judgment. Slow blinks. Side-eye. Faces that said:
“This is humiliating. But also… I am pulling this off.”
They tolerated the photos. They posed. They allowed the nonsense. All while silently negotiating their payment in treats, snacks, and future forgiveness. You could practically hear the internal monologue:
“You will pay for this. But not today.”
By the end of it, they were cozy, festive, and clearly aware they were the stars of Christmas. Because deep down—under the mild threats and dramatic expressions—they love the attention, the warmth, and being right in the middle of the holiday chaos.
Christmas just hits different when your fur babies are involved.
Equal parts cute, judgmental, and absolutely worth every extra treat. 🎄🐾😼
