Silent Night, Full Hearts

A Bible study led to new friends, full hearts, and a Christmas we’ll never forget.

A Christmas Blessing We Didn’t Expect

We decided to attend a Bible prophecy study at a local church, not really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be fantastic. But honestly, the very best part wasn’t just the study—it was the people we met.

That’s where we met this incredibly sweet family and their wonderful children. From the very beginning, something just clicked. Before we knew it, we had completely fallen in love with them. Somewhere along the way, we unofficially decided we would be their adopted Gran Gran and Aunt Kim—and it felt exactly right.

Shopping for them for Christmas brought us so much joy. Anyone who knows us knows we tend to be a little over the top when it comes to Christmas (okay… maybe more than a little 😂). But it was all done with love and excitement. We couldn’t wait to celebrate with them.

Having them over to celebrate Christmas with us truly made our Christmas. Watching their faces light up was absolutely priceless. The laughter, the excitement, the warmth—it filled our home and our hearts in a way that’s hard to put into words.

One of the most special moments of the night was sitting together by the fire, candles in hand singing “Silent Night” in German. It was beautiful, peaceful, and unforgettable. One of those moments that slows everything down and reminds you what Christmas is really about.

They are heading to Germany to take care of family and will be gone for several months. While we completely understand, it doesn’t make missing them any easier. We are going to miss them deeply.

We’re so thankful God crossed our paths and brought this family into our lives. The love, joy, and memories we shared will stay with us forever.

This Christmas will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

Lieber himmlischer Vater,

Amen.
