It’s Christmas Eve

By candlelight, we welcomed Christmas Eve with grateful hearts, ready to rest and rejoice.

Today was one of those days that moved fast from the moment it began.

From morning on, it was all about preparing food—again. The kitchen stayed busy, counters filled, pots simmering, dishes coming together one after another. There wasn’t much pause, just steady movement and to get it all done.

By the time everything was finished, it had finally caught up with us. The rush of the day faded, and with it came a deep readiness to slow down.

Later, we were able to step away from the busyness and attend a candlelight service. In that stillness, surrounded by soft light, we saw one of our SALT friends from Ringgold SDA, which made the evening feel even more meaningful. At midnight, we sang Silent Night by candlelight, honoring the birth of our Savior. It was quiet, reverent, and exactly what our hearts needed after such a full day.

Now we’re back home. The house is calm, and only a few presents remain to be wrapped and set out. The exhaustion has turned into gratitude, and the anticipation of tomorrow.

We’re finally ready to rest—and I can’t wait to see and feel the excitement that Christmas morning brings. 🎄✨
