2025: A Year Written in Motion, Faith, and Community

There were moments in 2025 that didn’t ask to be explained—only felt.

We began 2025 the quiet way—with snow. The kind that softens sound and slows time. It felt like an invitation to breathe before the year found its momentum.

Spring: Old Friends and Familiar Ground

Spring brought visits with old friends, the kind that don’t need much explaining. Laughter came easily. Stories overlapped. Those moments reminded us where we’ve been and how deeply relationships shape who we are.

May 19–30: Living the Dream in Italy

From May 19–30, we stepped into a dream we had carried for years: Italy.

It wasn’t just a trip—it was perspective. History beneath our feet. Beauty everywhere. Days that unfolded slowly, teaching us again that life doesn’t need to be rushed to be rich. Italy changed our pace and posture. We came home with full hearts, calmer spirits, and a deeper appreciation for God’s creativity.

June: Back to Reality, Forward With Purpose

June brought us home—and right back into purpose.

We worked on the Make a Difference Line Dance “Stomp Out Hunger” Benefit, blending dance with generosity. Dance became service. Movement became mission. It was a reminder that what we love can also be how we give.

July: Art, Mystery, and Imagination

In July, we stepped into something entirely different—the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy. Moody, immersive, theatrical, and creative, it reminded us that art matters. That stories still have power. That there’s room in a full life for imagination, curiosity, and a little playful mystery.

Summer & Fall: Rest, Rhythm, and Reality

September brought a much-needed pause at Panama City Beach, where the sound of waves reminded us how restorative rest can be.

That same month also carried weight. The assassination of Charlie Kirk—and the way some people responded without compassion—shook us deeply. It was a sobering reminder of how broken the world is, and how desperately the world needs grace, truth, and Jesus.

Throughout it all was dance. From choreographing our “Last Call” dance, to events, practices, gatherings, and benefits. And in November, our Make a Difference dance benefit, where dance and dancers came together to Make a Difference to Stomp Out Hunger in Heroic fashion.

Faith Renewed, Community Found

One of the greatest gifts of 2025 was a renewed faith in Jesus, strengthened through community at Silverdale and Ringgold.

It was here—through a wonder-filled prophecy Bible study at SDA—that faith deepened in a new way. Scripture came alive. Questions were welcomed. Jesus felt near, not distant. We found new and welcoming friends, meaningful fellowship, and a steady fire that didn’t burn out when the week got busy. We had many “aha” moments, great conversations, and new friendships. Faith stopped feeling routine and started feeling alive again.

Church stopped being something we attended and became something we belonged to.

Christmas: Beauty, Joy, and Giving It Away

Christmas closed the year with warmth and meaning. A Christmas photo shoot at the historic The Read House captured more than images—it captured joy, gratitude, and the beauty of the season.

More importantly, Christmas became about sharing joy with others—time, kindness, generosity, presence. It felt like the perfect echo of the year itself.

What 2025 Gave Us

  • snow-covered beginnings and joy-filled endings
  • Italy and ordinary days made sacred
  • old friends and new ones
  • dance floors turned into mission fields
  • renewed faith and deeper community
  • moments of fun, moments of sorrow, and moments of awe

As we step into 2026, we do so changed—not because the year was perfect, but because we stayed present, faithful, and open.

This was a year of movement, meaning, and grace.
And we’re ready to keep going.

We’re heading into 2026 grateful, grounded, and excited for what’s next.

Thanks for being part of our 2025 💛
