It was an early morning and a long day Friday — but oh, what a day it was. We started with breakfast and then off we went!
We arrived early for our eye appointment (y’all know we don’t sit still well 😆), so of course we made a quick HomeGoods run — and it did NOT disappoint. Then to our appointment. It was so good to see my cuz, and he confirmed what we suspected… I just need to stick with glasses for now. So the hunt is officially on for some frames that say FUN. 👓✨
After what felt like the scenic route of all scenic routes — plus the adventure that is 285 traffic — we were very thankful for the Peach Pass helping us scoot past that Eagles Landing/McDonough mess. From there, we rolled right on into Macon.
We met my brother and sister-in-law at La Parrilla for a very late lunch / very early dinner… and yes, friends — margaritas were absolutely involved. 🍹💕
Next stop was Belk (a little disappointing from what we remembering it being) and HomeGoods (also not their best day). But we rallied and made a quick Publix run for the essentials: wine, OJ, and crème horns — because priorities. 😉
Finally, we made it to the hotel, where we were greeted with the sweetest care package from the bride and groom-to-be. So thoughtful and so appreciated. 💖
PJs went on, followed by a collagen face mask and a tired, achy-feet soothing foot mask… and let me tell you — we were more than ready for a little rest.
