What a Weekend! 💕
Today, once again, we slept in — and let me tell you, it was amazing not having our little cat alarm clocks going, “Momma, momma, momma!” 😆
We packed up, headed out, and made a quick breakfast stop at Waffle House (because when in Georgia… 🍳). After filling up the car, north we went!
Of course, we took a few scenic routes before finally hitting the interstate. We were thrilled not to deal with the McDonough and Eagles Landing fiasco this time… but 285 said, “Hold my sweet tea.” 😅
Traffic was HORRIBLE. No Peach Pass lanes open heading north — and none south either. Around 285 and 75 there were barrels everywhere with multiple lanes closed. No clue why… but wow. I sure wish I owned stock in the company that makes those beautiful orange barrels everyone loves to see while driving. 😉
We thought about stopping for lunch, but honestly? We were just ready to be home.
It was a wonderful weekend — full of smiles, laughter, friends, and memories we’ll cherish for a long time. 💖
But as much as we love a good adventure, there truly is no place like home… well, except maybe Italy. 😂🇮🇹
